State of the State

After a very rough winter, spring is finally arriving. The dome of the capital shines in the brilliant sunlight. I've never looked forward this much to allergy season!

Bars and Kids

One thing I've noticed about playgrounds is that they all have steel bars for kids to play on. You can climb on bars, swing on bars, and slide on bars. A simple bar might be the perfect toy.

The Wonder Years

You wonder where the years go! They roll by so fast. I always knew that my kids had to grow up but never the grandchildren!

Basketball

One can appreciate the fear that little kids have about a basketball. After all, the ball is almost as big as them and it is hard.

Train Bridges

He created his own personal challenge. He was going to build a train
track layout that would use every track and every bridge that I had.
Then he and his sister dumped four boxes of train tracks on the floor.
It was a lofty goal but after a few minutes a new challenge replaced
the tracks that were scattered on the floor. Having their company is
better than stepping on a train track at night!

Tracks

Little girls like to play with trains and tracks just as much as the
boys do. The first step in building any successful train task is to
first dump all of the pieces on the floor. Why this step is required I
don't quite understand, but only that it is so.

Grammy's Pride

Grammy loves to be around the grandchildren and they love to be around her!

Big Boy

Years ago, when I first brought him to this park, he was so small that
he couldn't reach the poles to climb across. Now he is so big that he
can breeze across. It's odd that fear makes us cautious and not take
risks but being over confident can be just as risky.
