Birthday for a Princess

Grammy was happy to have a picture with Jonathan and Janelle. She wished I could have gotten a picture with everyone in it. And so do I.

Birthday Cake

I sometimes wonder about the origin of blowing out candles on a cake. It's fun to sing happy birthday and watch candles being blown out. I've never seen anyone blow out candles that didn't have a smile on their face.

Birthday for a Princess

She turned seven years old today. When you are seven, someone else goes to work so you don't have to. Someone else pays pays for the heat and the rent do you don't have to. The hardest thing about childhood is growing up so you can then do all of these things.

Where Did The Deck Go?

My deck has disappeared from all of the snow! I want a new deal from a new deck!

Trains

It's winter and the trains are not running on time. They think that seven feet of snow on three weeks might be contributing to these delays!

Whiteness

If it isn't already, white should be the official color of Massachusetts. There is whiteness everywhere you look. In fact, there is so much white that you can't even look. I know that white symbolizes purity, but I confess that I am not thinking pure thoughts about all of this snow.

Valentine's Day

It is always better to share an event or celebration with others. Faith's sister Elaine and her husband Alan invited us to join them for dinner. We had a wonderful time. Great food and great company!

Valentine's Day, February 2015, and it is snowing. The roads are untreated and slippery. Sounds like a perfect time to go to the Wayside Inn. Cozy up to a huge fireplace and have a wonderful time.

He turned 9 years old today! He came into our lives and has brought so much happiness! Now I understand what my grandfather told me when he said " you don't want to grow up"!

Snow Train

I was on the train before work was cancelled due to snow. I have to wait an hour for a return train home. It's a long day already.
