Some Gave All
There is an honor roll on the civil war monument that contains the names of all of the Clinton residents that died during the civil war. But the honor roll for the Vietnam war, contains the names of all the town residents that served. It is fitting that we remember those who served and those who sacrificed all.
We Remember
You wouldn't know that Clinton is a small town, based upon the large turnout for Memorial Day. But they come to pay their respects to those who served and to those who gave their lives for our freedom. We all owe a debt of gratitude for their sacrifice.

The Fire Marshall
Every cookout has a fire that must eventually be put out. We were fortunate enough to have Fire Marshall Janelle and her water pistol. She took dead aim and soaked the wood so that it became a smoky mess.
Between A Rock And A Sandbox
Playing in a sandbox requires a lot of bending over. Ethan minimizes his bending over, by resting his chin on his knee while he plays.
Public Transportation
Public transportation requires a master plan to determine where the bridges and tracks go. And of course, the need to build train stations with inadequate parking.
Thomas And Friends
Thomas the Train has some friends to take care of the engines. Dogs play a very important role in deciding which engine should be on the tracks. Whatever train they pickup in their mouth, you can be sure that is the train.

Faith's Touch
Faith has to have colors in the spring, summer and fall. Whatever is currently in bloom will be replaced by the next seasonal plant. Arranging the plants by their seasons, colors, shapes, size and height requires years of planning ahead.
Azaleas
Faith talks to her flowers and plants. And just like Cinderella, she sings with the birds. The result is happy birds that drop their happiness and a yard of amazing colors.
The Graduate
There aren't many milestones in life. So when one comes along, you have to embrace it and celebrate the moment. And what a moment it was for our nephew Warren, who graduated from Valley Forge College. Congratulations Warren!

You Have Hairs In Your Nose
We had a sleep over. I had to make fresh applesauce and pancakes. Along the way, the Princess was inspecting my new glasses and at the end she said, " You have hairs in your nose". Kids will tell it like it is!! I wonder what would happen if all of the UN ambassadors were kids?
Baseball
Baseball in the backyard is a fundamental part of growing up in America. Everyone participates and everyone has fun. The simple basic things can provide the greatest and longest lasting childhood memories.
The Slider
Brendan watches very closely, whatever his older brother is doing and then tries to imitate him. Imitation really is the best form of flattery. Because someone has to really want to be like you.

I Don't Want To Go
My friend Tom Desilets, passed away on April 15. He suffered from Pick's
disease, which is a rare and permanent form of dementia. Tom had a
wonderful way of expressing himself with words, and before his illness had
set in, he composed this:
"I don't want to go...
I don't want to leave you...
The time has traveled by,
My love will never die...
I will keep you in my heart, forevermore."
-Tom Desilets
Words have a way of touching us, and Tom had a way of touching others.
"I don't want to go...
I don't want to leave you...
The time has traveled by,
My love will never die...
I will keep you in my heart, forevermore."
