Construction Crew

No mater how large your yard, kids will opt to play in Grammy's flower garden. Tractors dug up dirt and filled up dump trucks that then emptied the dirt in the bird bath. I know that Grammy will be surprised to see the bird bath water replaced with garden dirt.

The Commuter

Our journey for planes and trains took us to the train station. Eric was impressed that I get to ride a train every day and wanted to take the train with me to Boston. Fun to explore with kids.

Sky King

The plane descended from the sky and taxied up to us. He asked how do people get out of the plane? Then a door opened and the pilot and passenger crawled out and climbed down the wing of the plane. Imagine, having to hold onto the side of the plane while you climb down. It was very cool to watch!

Walking Up A Tree

I told her that I could walk up a tree. She didn't believe me. So we went over to a tree that was cut down and I showed her how to walk up a tree. She saw me and laughed and she had to try it. No sound can compare to the laugh of a child.

Acorn Pitchers

It started with looking for acorns. Then he found some and decided to share them with me. He calls me to get my attention before he tosses them at me. I wonder where he learned that?

Never Out Grow Your Dreams

I knew the day would come when the Princess would outgrow her beloved Princess bed. Life and time move forward, but for me, she will always be a Princess.

The Poets Window-Chickadee

Dear Chicadee,
Tiny black caps and collars of white, on branches of bushes the chicadees alight. To drop to the ground and search for a seed, then back to the branch for a hungry feed. They work hard all day to sleep well at night. The black capped chickadee is a wonderful sight.

The Poet's Window-Doves

Dear Doves,
As I looked out my window, What did I spy ? Twenty-two doves dropped down from the sky. With long pointy tails and feathers of grey, they walked like chickens and pecked away. I usually see only a pair or two, but I counted three times to find it was true.

The Lorax

He told me that his favorite story is "The Lorax", by Dr Seuss. I had never heard heard of the book and couldn't imagine a children's book about the thorax. He kept telling that it was The Lorax and not the Thorax. I know that there is nothing wrong with my hearing, must be the way that others talk.
