Sipping Thru A Flower

I asked her how she liked drinking thru a straw. She said it was like sipping thru a flower. I've never heard of straws described like that before. Kids and straws, they go together.

Backwards

Somewhere during our walk on the golf course, the Princess lost her Cinderella Chapstick. She was upset over her loss and I told her that we need to walk backwards to find it. As I turned around I saw that she was following me, but that she was walking backwards. When I asked her why she said "You said to walk backwards"!

Shadow Giants

I was walking with Janelle, and she shouted, "Look at my shadow and how big it is"! So then we tried to make different shapes with our shadows. All I heard was "Look at this Grampy"! And then the sounds of laughter. I have discovered that the fountain of youth, is spending time with a child.

Planes, Trains and Cars

The boys love to play with planes, trains and cars. I told them that when I was a boy that I liked to play with WWII fighter planes, like the spitfire and the mustang. Planes and jets, if it flies, it captures the imagination of boys.
