Problem Solving

Eric is having fun removing the rings and then trying to place them back on the pole. Of course each ring must be tasted and chewed before it can be placed on the pole.

Eric and Grammpy

Eric likes technology so much that it is one of his favorite food groups. He was bending over trying to bite my iPhone. I caught us in the mirror between his attempts to eat my iPhone.

Organizational Skills

Before Ethan plays with his cars, they must be organized. Each one carefully arranged. Not only in a straight line but from biggest to smallest.

Ol Hickory

Ethan picked up Grammpy's walking stick and won't let go of it. He walks and drags it behind him.

The Glove Grabber

Ethan was playing outside but he couldn't keep away from the glove grabber. Once they have been in Buddy's jaws they are slimey.

Cellphone and Kickball

The pepsi generation, the love generation...What defines a generation?
Ethan has just kicked the ball and is running to it with a toy cellphone in his left hand. Maybe this will be known as the cell generation.

Chilling with Grammy

It is cold and windy, but Ethan likes hanging with Grammy.

Train, Car and Bus

I spend so much of my life on the trains! So it is surprising that they still hold a fascination and attraction. I go from car to train to subway to bus and to foot. Makes for a very long commute. So it is nice to have an iPhone to play with.

Picture This

In this digital image age, it is still nice to have printed pictures.
This is a picture frame that Faith put together for me. It is still fun to look at after all these years.

Nurse Pat

I have an infection and Nurse Pat went with me to the doctor. I was thinking of what Sir Walter Raleigh said just before he was beheaded. It was "This is sharp medicine that is sure to cure all my ills". The way my head feels, I would like to have it removed.

Under My Skin

Sometimes it takes many observations to really realize what you are seeing. I mistook Buddy digging in snow as just his love for digging. What he is really doing is making the hard snow loose for him to roll over and get the wet loose snow into his coat. Perhaps I need some snow therapy for my coat.

Sledding with Ethan

This was taken in February, with Ethan and I sledding down the hill in our yard. Ethan is saying, "More Grammpy!", but Buddy is getting old. He is running down the hill beside the sled trying to take Ethan's hat off or one of his gloves. As much as this annoys Ethan, he also enjoys it, and when Buddy takes a break, Ethan calls him to hurry back!

Man Cub

A rocking chair that you can also ride! Ah, the things you can do when you are small. Buddy is very gentle and loves to play.

The Painter

The concentration!! The intensity!! The imagination!! Elephants with purple trunks! You have to think outside of the lines!

Walking Stick

Grammpy uses a walking stick when he walks in the woods. I was surprised when Ethan found a walking stick and proudly showed it to me and he began to start tapping the ground with it. He had the stick in his hand and said Grammpy!! I looked to see this big smile on his face.

Kickball

Does it come naturally to want to kick a ball? And then to run where the ball ended and to kick it again? Outside with Dr Sunshine and Dr Fresh-air, Team Ethan is playing against Team Buddy. He can run in circles kicking the ball and squealing with delight! And if he falls the worst that could happen is a grass stain. His enjoyment is tremendous!

Eric, Mom and Grammy

We are very fortunate to be near our children and grandchildren. To be able to see them grow and develop is truely wonderful.

Tired Cousins

Ethan and Eric play very well together. They are curious about each other but are also gentle towards each other. It is fun to see them together.

The Pink Panther Glove

I had to take off my gloves to take a picture. For Buddy, that was an invitation to play keep away. I think that Buddy dreams of games to play while I am on the train, or working. I think I want to come back as Buddy.

Kick Up Your Heels

There are those who enjoy every aspect of winter. Everytime they see snow, they want to roll on their back and kick up their heels. Dogs are like little kids, they have the capacity to enjoy the moment.

Line Up Your Putt

Can you feel it in the air? Spring is in the air. Snow is still on the putting greens, but slowly the snow is melting!

Would You Believe Me Not

We had a very nice visit with Faith's grandfather. Fascinating stories that are rich and colorful.

Airport Accident

We were at a traffic light one block away from the car rental return. The light changed to green and before I hit the gas I looked to my left and saw this car moving to fast to stop for the red light. So I stayed put. The car to my left went forward on the green light. He got hit by this car that ran the light. I called 911 and waited for the police. Our Guardian angel was protecting us with wisdom and caution. Look both ways before proceeding.

Oranges

Wouldn't you like to reach up and pick some oranges? We are outside of Loma Linda, very nice area.

Mt Baldy

The snow capped Mt Baldy is in Ontario, Calif. You have palm trees and regular trees going up to the base of the mountain.

Century Club

Faith's grandfather was born in 1909. Even so, he is younger than me.

California Mountains

We have palm trees and snow capped mountains. No shoveling required.
Keep the snow in the mountains.

My Cousin Vinny

Stayed at a very nice hotel which is in the airport and next to a
train. Apparently, I can sleep through anything but Faith has turned into a light sleeper.

Way Out West!

California or bust!! Need to mine for gold just to pay for the gas!!

Red Rock Canyon

Historic exhibits and public hanging. The desert environment is
spectacular!!

Stud Poker

Faith decided that rather than play stud poker that she'd rather play with the stud...

The Talking Wall

We were shaken out of our sleep at 1:45am, by the loudest fire alarm you have ever heard. All we could think of was climbing down 21 flights of stairs. As we ran to the door the wall spoke to us. The Talking Wall told us to ignore the alarm. Las Vegas is truely amazing what will they think of next!!

Mama Mia!

Got to catch the tram to go to Mandalay Bay to see Mama Mia! Faith is all excited.

It's been a hard day's knight!

We retreat to our castle where it is still the age of King Arthur and computers have not yet been invented. The nights are just perfect!

Not Coyote Ugly

Special meeting reception. I was informed that the leather outfits are very sweaty. What more can I say...

King of the Jungle

The MGM has a lion habitat. Or if you are the lion, it has a human habitat. It all depends upon which side of the glass you are on.

Water show at Bellagio

Exciting water display! Music and water works.

Mall at the Bellagio

Do you have malls like this to shop in?
Absolutely gorgeous!! Makes me want to spend $56 on a t-shirt.

Only the departments

Inside the mall at Caesar's Faith asked if they had any specials.
Never!! They replied that's only the Department stores.

Show me the walmart!

Yes, this is the mall at Caesar's!! Thankfully, there is no walmart here! Unbelieveable furnishings, décor and painted ceilings. It is like shopping in an art museum.

Hail Caesar

Pay into Caesar and keep on paying...

Not for the faint of wallet

Vegas strip

View of NY NY and the MGM which are across from where we are staying.
It is sunny, dry and in the 70's!!

Story time

Grammpy may be in vegas but he misses his book club buddies

Tournament of kings

We got to see knaughty knights and wenches and merlin. It was like King Richard's fair. All in our hotel. I guess vegas is magical.

Viva las vegas

Faith is amazed at all of the adult entertainment. Hmmm...
